A game of Monopoly

I guess you have seen the game that we have been playing on my blog. We have all contributed a sentence each to write a story. The first sentence for this story was “Finally it had stopped raining and sun shined in Mumbai sky after days of gloominess.”

Tomorrow I’ll compile the sentences and publish the story that has come up after everyone's contribution. But before that, here is the original story that followed the sentence.

Finally it had stopped raining and sun shined in Mumbai sky after days of gloominess. I want to skip work and take Sara out for shopping.  It is her birthday next day and she had been patient enough for me to finish my case before I can take her out to buy her present.

Love, Faith and Hope – What does it mean to me?

For a month and a half now, I have been asked this question almost every day. The reason why suddenly everyone is bothered about my belief in these words is my tattoo which consists of these three words.

These three words come together in Bible, urging us to pray to God with love faith and hope. For a better part of my life I have believed in each of these words as a mantra for successful life. Therefore, when I wanted to get inked, the three words or my mantra in life were the obvious choice.

However, I’d like to state what each word means to me.

Love – Because it is said that love is the greatest of all. To me, it means seek love in everything in this world. Love yourself; love the universe that has been presented to you. Love your God, faith and religion. Love your work, your karma. Love fellow human being. Speak with love, hear with love. Spread love, and when you do so you spread light.

Faith – Because faith makes us firm. Have faith in everything. Have faith in yourself and your God. Have faith in your deeds and others. Have faith in relationships, in your parents, partner and kids. Have faith in situation. Have faith in love.

Hope – Because hope makes us last. Have hope. Let your eyes shine with hope. Dream and hope. Hope for good. Hope for the best. When you love and faith does not work in your favor, hope. Continue to hope in the worst of circumstances. Continue to hope when you achieve the best. Hope to grow in love and in faith. As long as you hope, you live.

 

Why your girlfriend loves flowers?

Many a times, I have heard people stating that they hate flowers, whereas from Bollywood to your next door neighbor, most girls go drooling over them. The question often asked in “Why?”

And my answer is – “If a picture is worth a thousand words, a flower is worth a thousand emotions”.

Flowers define freshness, tenderness, care, color, beauty and all put together affection. It may vary from person to person on which flower they like or how they like it to be presented, but no one really hates flowers. (If you are allergic to it, it is a different case)

However, coming back to women (including me), who love flowers. Most of us cannot pin point at a reason to love them, but the moment we see them out mouth curves into a natural smile.

Men here is your clue – No matter how much you hate them, flowers are the cheapest (and the best) gift you have.

I once argued with a practical and analytical brain of a man over why flowers are the best gifts? And here is the summary and my view points -

Mishika...my little bundle of joy...

On January 8th, 2013 God blessed my family with a little angel...she is my niece and my sweet heart. My family was elated and I could not wait to take her in my arms.

She is close to six months now, and my father is still in his semi-retirement mood as he finds excuses every two hours to come home from office and play with his grand daughter. I guess the world around me already knows about how much "obsessed" with her we all are...
